Resident Evil 6 is an action-horror game released in 2012 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and later for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Developed and published by Capcom, the game features four interwoven campaigns, each with its own protagonist, including series veterans Leon S. Kennedy and Chris Redfield, as well as new characters. Set in various global locations, players battle hordes of mutated enemies in a mix of survival horror and fast-paced action. With its cooperative gameplay, expansive story, and diverse combat mechanics, Resident Evil 6 marked a shift toward more action-oriented gameplay while still incorporating elements of the series’ classic survival horror roots.
