All these AAA companies who's talent from previous games left them makes me wonder where they all have gone lol…. If you were a AAA game studio in this day & age, surely you would look to take these out of work devs on & make a fantastic game with all the talent & experience available… Maybe those devs just had enough with the industry & the 'restrictions' on their ideas… Sad to see but becoming so familiar…. Even the likes of CDPR are at risk….

I wish I was born 20 years sooner so I'd be dead before seeing all my favorite franchises turn to shit but it is as it is. I have to come with terms that my gaming days are coming to a close.

Played a little…so far not impressed by the combat..

it may be up there on day one, but a triple A title should be #1 on steam by a large lead for weeks. so we'll see how it goes. dragon age, even if it wasn't triple a, has a huge following. I don't expect having good day 1 sales indicates anything just yet

It felt like more writers wrote their life experiences and dare I say ideology into the characters so it became a distraction rather than something natural ….. I’d say too much and to a fault for this genre of RPG. When the writer’s life experience identifies more with the head of HR than a Warrior, well, that’s where the characters bend towards as well as the interpersonal story. That’s why the conversations feel preachy and patty cake like. And that’s why the fights mechanics are repetitive and eventually boring throughout the game. Makes me wonder how many of these developers have exchanged focus on the thrill of unpredictable epic fights with a comrade in arms that they may dislike, settling instead for a hug among friends, who in the real world would honestly be unlikely friends. Comrades in arms don’t have to like each other, they got a job to do and get it done even if life is messy. In the end, I think many of these developers talents would have been better suited working on a SIMS game. That way they could hug it out to their heart’s content without having to masquerade around as this fighting game.

The fact they have to manipulate and cheat the reviews in order to get the product to sell is evidence enough of the intention. They are trying to force the ideology down our throat.

I think companies will never give codes to reviewers if they think they might get a bad review. It is PR's job to manage that. As a gamer it is annoying but it is the way it works in business. Never preorder and buy after you see the reviews from actual gamers.

Keep in mind rdr that is selling better only has a peak of 5,800 players. Everything good had already come out for the year until February so sales on everything are soft

Could just be a marketing stunt, saying it sells well so some maybe feel like they're missing out if they don't play while its hot. I am struggling to believe anyone who followed this whole train wreck would rush and buy it. Maybe some fence sitters who were waiting to hear responses may get it now, but I just find it pretty odd. That or maybe they're buying copies themselves to try boost sales numbers.

It's a good game. I have had for a couple of days now and it really is a lot of fun. I think people are freaking out over every little thing about this game.

Remember, the marketing budget also includes paying off reviewers and shills. And lately, it has included inflating sales numbers.
