  1. 💬 COMMENT: What’re you playing right now – and which game do YOU think deserved every cent of its launch day price tag?

  2. You can't pretend the writing isn't bad. Taash's whole character is literally all based around they/them. No one would care if it's part of the story for that character, but it's literally the whole thing. Every side quest, every interaction. It's extremely heavy handed and badly written. I really enjoyed the game (just finished today at an 80 hour runtime), but to act like the writing didn't have major issues is disingenuous.

  3. So if the message is not done well, it's better to be silent and let the bigots have their way? That's what you are saying, while whining about hair styles and pronouns.

  4. Not only did the writing come off as extremely lazy, the messaging was so ham fisted it almost came off as insulting. Like, sure send messages with your art, all the best artists do but do it with subtly .

  5. Well a lot of the criticism that I've seen has to do with the writing and character dynamics and lack of risk they took when writing the story and interactions with the characters. That and the designs / art direction is meh to me. The other problem is when people accept a game of DA's legacy (take that however you wish) as "fine". That in itself is a failure. (but i have to say how they did the characters hair looks fantastic).

  6. If you find DA:V okay you really have no plan about games. The dialogue and the boring combat alone.

  7. The success of Dragon Age always seemed to be such a simple concept to me. Make more of what made the first one good OR just do what you were doing with mass effect 1-3 but in a fantasy setting. How did they drop the ball from DA2 already?
