Academy Award-winning visionary filmmaker Kevin Costner directs New Line Cinema’s vast “Horizon: An American Saga” Chapters One and Two, a multi-faceted chronicle covering the Civil War expansion and settlement of the American West. A story of America too big for one film, this true cinematic event also stars Costner, who co-writes with Jon Baird (“The Explorers Guild”) and produces through his Territory Pictures.
In the great tradition of Warner Bros. Pictures’ iconic Westerns, “Horizon: An American Saga” explores the lure of the Old West and how it was won—and lost—through the blood, sweat and tears of many. Spanning the four years of the Civil War, from 1861 to 1865, Costner’s ambitious cinematic adventure will take audiences on an emotional journey across a country at war with itself, experienced through the lens of families, friends and foes all…

  1. Costner tells a tale of innocent white setters being mercilessly attacked by marauding young indian braves who disobey their elders and go on rampages thereby justifying the ensuing native American genocide. Who is buying it? Not too many judging by the epic failure at the box office. Save it for someone who will believe it.

  2. Kayce! Get in the truck, John forgot to take his meds again. We gotta find him!

  3. I was hoping that my opinion would be different , but i fear Horizons is not going to give the other saga's a chance regardless if they are better than the first. There were epic scenery shots of beautiful country, and good acting , but the story line jumping around made it confusing. The Indians attacking the homesteaders where half the men ran away like cowards while their fellow men, women, and children, were slaughtered didn't sit well with me. Then ending had a bunch of different random scenes crammed together that made it more confusing. You can't compare this movie to Open Range or Dances With Wolves , but you can with Water World. Don't get me wrong folks, i like Kevin Costner and most of his movies, and i'm not here to troll, but give my honest opinion of what i thought about this movie. In all reality i hope that most all will have a different opinion than me and this movie does well in the box office.

  4. I've seen over 200 westerns in my 67yrs…despite the critics…just watched on the boxoffice big screen
It's Epic..and combined with the next 3 episodes will go down in the top 10 category

  5. Похоже, что это очередной гламурный вестерн со спецэффектами. Настоящий исторический вестерн умер. Сейчас снимают для жующих попкорн.

  6. I see this is very important for Kevin Costner to put his money, hard work, & going against the odds.. I am very grateful that he is bringing Westerns back. I am praying 🙏 this turns around for him. I watched Horizon, & thought it was a magnificent film, sadly not many went to support, & watched it. I am anxiously waiting for the second part.❤

  7. Never let the colonist's white supremacist Americans control the narrative of history, especially when it comes to Native Americans.

When a white army battles Indians and wins, it is called a great victory, but if they lose it is called a massacre.– Chiksika, Shawnee.

Historically, Kevin Costner and Americans have not been too keen on discussing the fact that convicts came to what would eventually become known as the United States. America's dirty little secret? It may be of interest to Americans, and this is no slur, but your "History" has hidden the fact from you, that the British sent More "convicts" yes people who took a piece of bread, to the American penal Colonies and for a much longer period than they sent to Australia. Many, Many more White people in America are related to convicts than in Australia. America today can trace their ancestors back to convicts or slave owners, then to Australia. Australia also Never had African black slavery, Wars of Independence, Civil Wars, Wars against the French and British. And Wars against Canada, the Spanish/Mexicans, Indigenous Americans, Native American tribes, Native Hawaiians, and other Pacific Islanders, etc. The only reason Australia was settled in 1788 was that the 1776 War of Independence and the British could no longer ship out the "Convicts" which itself was a cruel and horrible thing to do to your citizens.

Plus: Louisiana, New Orleans can be traced back…to a pudgy kid by the name of King Louis XV. King Louis XV, owned all of Louisiana …. and tried desperately to get his fellow Frenchman to cross the ocean and visit. But it wasn't happening. So in order to get some use out of it finally he starts shipping' over boatloads of French prisoners. Thieves, gamblers, prostitutes, murderers,

pirates, gypsies, pickpockets, and psychopaths. Those were the pioneers of this land. And the forefathers of this town.

It's Mardi Gras, and the streets are filled with drunken lunatics, give them more guns and Let the squirrels squabble, indeed. It's great to own a gun in America.

So, in fact: The US was founded with convicts from both France and Britain, yet Americans and Hollywood referred to Australia as a penal colony.

It only shows the level of sanity it takes to be an American. The Dutch Empire and Spaniards also dispatched psychopaths and convicts to the Americas. It's no surprise the USA was founded on treason/betrayal and theft against the British. "The British and the Irish fought each other's families and then considered themselves Americans."

Is anyone surprised that an Australian citizen, Julian Assange, was charged with espionage by the Americans?🤣🤣

Those who don’t study history are doomed to repeat it. Yet those who do study history are doomed to stand by helplessly while everyone else repeats it. History often seems to repeat itself. Leaders may not learn from the past, instead choosing to echo it. The rhetoric of "Make America Great Again" has parallels to the promises made by other figures in history.

  8. Considering all the positive comments on a movie which bombed big time, it makes me wonder how many of those comments were fakes. Folks, this series of four films is never going to be completed. Who is going to pony up tens of millions of dollars to complete the third and fourth films in the series? I think we're seeing the revenge of Yellowstone fans who were torqued off that Costner left them holding the bag.

  9. This is a brilliant movie, engaging stories, beautifully shot. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ watch it this morning on the big screen, absolutely worth getting up early and making the journey to see it. No spoilers, once you see the first chapter, you will definitely be making plans for chapter 2. Wow!!! Great Movie 🍿 🎥

  10. Just watched it……….."a little masterpiece". What do you expect from the guy who gave us "Open Range" and "Dances with Wolves". The woke/DEI alphabet crowd won't like it but their movies sink in the box office anyway. They can always go watch "Ghost busters the women". lol

  11. Sweeping, authentic, and powerful Chapter 1 of Costner's epic tale of our westward expansion. The characters were easy to invest in, and the 3hr runtime went by super quick!

  13. The Rotten Tomatoes critics are at 42% “Likes”. The viewers were about the same before the movie premiered and now the viewers are at 72% “Likes”. You have to see the movie for yourself. There isn’t a Western I haven’t seen. This is a good Western. Can’t wait for the other episodes. If you are a casual Western viewer you won’t probably like it. If you are real Western fan you will like it.

  14. I went to see this movie with high hopes. We walked out after 40 minutes of really trying to like it. The movie sucks.

  15. I’m not an expert, but I immediately noticed that at 1:58 the fist was not even close to the face. He hit me so hard he didn’t even touch his hat. Very bad.

  16. So now the build up has finished and now part 2 is beginning, hopefully there is more action to it.

  17. Saw it Saturday. Great movie. Never underestimate drone video. The cinematography, acting, and music are superb. That Apache attack on the tent settlement and cabin was the most terrifying scene I’ve seen recently.
