As someone who is not a Sonic fan by any means, I absolutely love what they did with their design. Imagine if they kept Ugly Sonic's design scheme for the rest of the characters! Also, it may be an unpopular opinion but I think I do prefer the movie's designs for the characters over the game's aside from their first iterations.
