It took them time to give robotnik right suit since this is is origin story each movie he develops.

Tails need a jetpack because he is not as fast as sonic or knuckles.

I like how Eggman and Gerald have very similar outfits but they’re subtly different to fit each other.
Gerald’s at the bottom is just flat all around, looking like a scientist lab coat just like his game version.
While Eggman’s also matches his game version, having the pointed “coat tails” and such at the bottom, which sort of makes him look more like a ruler/king.

Tails is fast but he always says he gotta keep up with Sonic

I really hope Jim Carrey decides to keep doing sonic movies. It could have been a stunt to tamper our expectations but I remember him being hesitant to do the 3rd movie. He brings so much life to the movie lol
