  1. This the like if Shift Up decided to make Stellar Blade but during the entire dev cycle they put weed in the office humidifier.

  2. If you like this, you should play the yakuza series, or at least yakuza zero. The story is insanely good and the side quests are funny and insane

  3. 日本からコメントします
    the most insane gameって表現は良い意味でめちゃくちゃ正しいと思います

  4. Showa, you know? The Japanese period ended in 1989. It imagines a scenario where the Showa era never ended, and Japan colonized the United States. The game is replete with Chinese stereotypes of Japan and the United States from that era. For instance, the routine of watching cartoons at 6:30 each evening reflects the childhood of many Chinese people of my generation. It's akin to a Showa-style rendition of American pop culture, with elements like the car in the background being a nod to Japanese adult videos.

  5. This game feels like someone took Filthy Frank's skit about the weeaboos and extrapolated it to 1000, all around his imitation of the american weebs : i am cowboy tanaka .

  7. L-MAO-Zedong!!! This is a Chinese game riffin' on the Japanese and Americans via pop cultural elements from both of the (latter) two countries XD

Instead of Japan being the American vassal state it is today (Plaza Accords forcing Japan to commit economic seppuku/hari-kiri, US military not subject to Japanese law, US command of Japanese military operations, and Edward Snowden's revelations of an American "Kill Switch" installed on the islands), they very cutely reversed the situation — but also roast the Japanese with the dystopian apocalyptic setting LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Well they certainly got that wacky Japanese anime ethos down pat tee hee!!

  8. That Human cannon ball firework thingy is actually a reference to Dinosaur Corps Koseidon.

Its a Toku series where they jump back in time and the MC is shot out of the main gun of their ship.

    Its quite famous in Asia.

  9. 1:28 that is called a "Seppuku" and that is the right way to do it… A Samurai way to have an honorable death… there's a lot of meaning to it depends on how you do it, but youtube will delete my comment if I try to explain in an even more detail… you gotta study differences yourselves I guess…

but heck since this is a zombie game so he probably got bitten so he does that before he turn into a zombie maybe…

  10. this is a game developed based on the japanese/american pop culture they encountered during their childhood/teenage/young adult years (1980s~early2010s), part of them were imported port of them were pirated, that why some of the references are from really old shows, like imported 1960s/1970s shows, and that why chinese audience could understand those memes better than modern japanese/western audience

  11. An actual fun looking game.
The western tripple A studios forgot how they are made.

  12. There’re some cultural references that Japanese born in 80s understand or resonate.

  13. Great trailer! this game might be for real one of the best in 2025, like one coment on the og video "finally a game with soul" …. p.d: that shobutaro guy on your chat, i imagine he enjoys dragon age lol what a hater

  14. This game looks like a PS1 or Dreamcast japanese game that never made it to the west and you only now about it because a youtuber made a video about obscure japanese games 15 year later.
