  1. One thing I noticed is that any movie based on facts, including the military, is looked down on! I'm a former marine! We fought and died too!

  3. This is my first time hearing about this amazing story. I'm a military kid of TWO veterans and I have a history degree from a prestigious university. I'm excited to see this movie.

  4. Honored to have sat at the table
of 6888 member Lena Derriecott King to hear this story directly from her.
What a force of a woman , I hope she knows that her breathe is honored and her story will be told.

She lived to be 100 years old.
    RIP

  5. As if we wouldn’t have won the war without mail. “Based on a true story” these days means we made it up to whitewash history.

  6. They were mail workers who were in the war for 3 months. Definitely deserve to have a whole movie made about them. Screw those mail workers who did their job in battle torn areas for years they don't need a movie!

  7. I don’t want to speak too soon, but it doesn’t feel like Tyler Perry wrote this script. His director of photography really seem to have done his/her thing on this movie… but again, I don’t want to jump the gun.

  8. For everyone being negative saying it was hidden history. No it was not. Just because you didn't educate yourselves on U.S. military history doesn't mean it was hidden, it just shows your lack of education. There are museums, books, and documentaries. Stop with the victim mindset, go educate yourselves.

  9. OMG
I can hardly contain my excitement! At last, we have a war movie that spotlights the bravery and resilience of Black female soldiers.
