  2. It's possible this game is a 5. I was stoked to pick this up. Then found out it was partially made by the same guys that did octopath and triangle strategy. That combined with this score of 5 makes me really worried to buy it. I mean those games got high scores and they were 5s at best. If someone had given octopath 5 out of 10, they would have been criticized, but it would have been true. So I think it's possible this game is a 5 and people are just shocked that someone had the balls to be honest.

  3. Game reviews have become like news media, untrusted info. You got to do your own research

  4. The game is solid , got to understand it’s also made for kids , and it’s like playing a Mario cartoon. Sucks it leaked October 18 , I beat it like two weeks ago and it was a good game decently long

  5. I trust a few reviews when they're all giving about the same score and the gameplay feels like it matches what thry said. It's when you get a 5 on a review and the person says, "Oh, I'm a super fan of the series." Whereas everyone gives a 7-9 that I question things after seeing a bit of gameplay for myself. Cause, okay, if you're a superfan of said series you should know what goes into the potential game offered and be able to handle it relatively well. It's only when companies, "We're deliberately changing up the game mechanics for this title a lot." Or, big game breaking bugs are found that you usually want to drop a lower score on a game. Storylines may play into the score but unless their Veilguard bad they're subjective. I'm more scared of a game when your story due to too much optional content or the lovely times in action games your character gets hit by an enemy and clips through the ground thereby nearly bricking your system aka extra game content or bugs.

  6. When "Fight Club" came out on DVD, the packaging actually has positive and negative reviews all in the gatefold. They were quite proud of the divergent reviews.

  7. Ive seriously never seen such a wide range of reviews before for a game and thats saying a lot! 5s, 6s, 7s, 8s, 9s? I dont mind if a game i already preordered is good or bad (well i do care if its good or not but thats besides the point) but at the very least reviews need to be CONSISTENT! i look at ign and they say its a crappy 5/10, then meta says like 6-7, and then i see other reviews saying its 8/10. PICK A LANE PEOPLE!!!

  8. I never pay attention to reviews. I watch the gameplay and decide for myself if it's a game I will have fun with or not. Presently I am having a wonderful time playing Pepper Grinder and just checking now, the Metacritic score is not amazing. I disagree. It's a great game.

  9. just ignore these ppl they gave dragon age 9s and 10s and it was scripted

  10. I don't care about IGN but I am familiar with Logan from their Nintendo Podcast…and he's a pretty well rounded dude. I'd give him more credibility than just a random IGN dude.

  11. I haven't trusted reviews for ages. I know with Dragon Age specifically, it was review bombed for political reasons. Is it good? Is it bad? I dunno. Those reviews are tainted.

  12. Reviews are different now than they used to be. I feel like many places, like IGN, give low scores for engagement bait. And even if the review is valid, day 1 updates can change things a lot and it's not reflected in the review.

  13. I knew suicide squad was gonna be bad because after the trailer dropped at DCFandome, the og rocksteady team peaced out after seeing what was really happening behind the curtain

  14. i find youtubers i trust then wait for them. what i would never do is take IGN as anything but a laugh, and probably believe that oppoiste. but im usually just looking if the game is buggy or broken. i decide if i want to play it based on what interests me. like a ton of people think Divine Divinity is a mid game, its my favorite CRPG of all time, and i knew it would interest me just by the box at the store.

  15. it looks like Nintendo did not fork over enough urinalist money to fund a triumphant return to form for bioware.
