This is basically an action game/hack and slash list, not RPG. By these standards, every game with a character in it, is an RPG

All these games that get released seem like they are amazing just to find out they are mid I’m getting sick of waiting for these amazing games just to be disappointed it’s honestly ruining my gaming need! Last amazing game I played was ghost of Tsushima and I beat Elden ring 3 times 100% all weapons and armour spells and incantations waiting for the shadow expansion and hopefully won’t be disappointed

I feel most of these are absolutely forgettable games after the hype washed away. I´m seriously thinking developers should make a good game, release maybe a subtle teaser (not even trailer) and let people "discover" the gem. Which is a vital reason why some classics became the classics they are.

Back then there was no internet and sometimes no way to really know what you were about to play. Imagine going into a gaming experience blindfolded like that and run into Silent Hill 1. Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy 7, Resident Evil 2, etc. Their remakes are totally in oblivion now. Not saying they´re bad games!. But they´re just gone now. And their names remain as classics more because of what the 90´s ones did than their new versions. Because people just got their minds blown not expecting that to happen back then.

And yes, there were magazines maybe. But they didn´t spoil the whole thing for you. There were no developers showing gameplay and telling you an enourmous amount of things YOU should be DISCOVERING. Like "Now I grab from the floor some this, now that, now I pick up the oil and now I crafted a torch". Just that simple action that they could narrate while they show you gameplay will feel absolutely different if you do it by yourself. "I have this, and this and there is combine option…let´s see".

And if times changed and adverstisement is different now. I would suggest people to not watch stuff about the games they´re hyped about. Do yourself a favor and do not watch anything else about it. Enter the game just knowing what you can´t avoid knowing. Because you´re going to see, watch and listen stuff anyways. It´s imposible to escape certain amount of info in these times. But do not spoil the whole thing for yourself. That´s the secret ingredient for YOUR personal experience to be boosted.

Not claiming to hold the absolute truth. Not even saying it will work for everybody. But for many of those who feel games are not surprising anymore it will change a lot of things. And I hope the advise is useful.

The problem for me is that I'm playing Elden Ring, and it is THE BEST RPG I've played in my life time, and I've been gaming since 1977. The games back then, while nostalgic, were U G L Y.

They made Witcher games and now cyberpunk. They just released next gen W3 so why they remaking them?? They need to make a new IP. All top Devs are just doing remakes!!! So annoying

Ive missed out on some good games because I don't like the protagonist. Witcher 3 being the main one. I like to create my own character, me. Except Arthur Morgan, the pure perfection of a gaming protagonist.

Persona 3 reload is definitely the best. I love this game

dragon dogma had issues, kinda grindy, too much issues with stamina, cant play it without mods.

some of the games here are shit, like ff7 remake, vampire the masquarade 2, nightingale is unpolished, dragon dogma 2 is crap how they make you pay extra for another save.

chrono odyssey comes from Kakao Games who made Black Desert Online which is the most visually stunning RPG from like 2016 and still probably holds #1 visual slot. They def have stuff behind them you just have to look a research before making videos.
