Whoever is making the business decisions at Valve is a genius. Great interview also, few engineers are this eloquent. I know cuz I am one 😂
Cool once they make inroads they can deal with the racism & nazism on their forums
No just make it compatible with ARM processors and we'll have some awesome Sandragon X Elite handheld gaming devices.
Valve is out here selling shovels
"I'm on bluesky now"
Ah, so he's a groomer.
Where is the steamOS for desktop pcs?!!!
Valve ruined PC gaming once in 2003, and they are prepared to do it again in 2025 xD And you guys cheer them on. "You'll own nothing, and you'll be happy about it"
Make steamos run on arm and its over
Im currently running SteamOS(Bazzite) on my main PC. No need for windows when i all i do is play games on it.
This is likely accelerating in case Xbox fails. They will want to get their hands on the lounge room and having steamOS ready means they can take Microsofts spot and offer supreme backwards capability as an alternative to Sony.
Please make SteamOS on Arm
literally everyone revealed a switch2 except Nintendo
Valve is more like Microsoft than PlayStation or Xbox. They positioned themselves perfectly, even better than Microsoft did with Xbox. Over time , Sony may be the underdog, or find itself more like Nintendo.
Buy a monopod!
This fella passed the vibe check for sure no doubt. Love how he nods in a wavy way
PC release so I can finally throw away windows 😂😂
Steam os is going to be the only way to play games on a computer and its going to be cheaters fault
He’s on Blue Sky. You’re one of thoooooose. Got it.
"I'm on bluesky these days" closes the video
"I'm on bluesky these days" 🤮 Well that says alot about him.
The Steam Deck is a loss leader.
Not having to loose as much money on hardware is a good business move now that Valve established SteamOS.. And customers have more freedom of choice.
Not all games work properly on steamos
Dude, a calm, quiet professional and informative interview thats not choked with youtubey nonsense. Thank you
You should have asked these two most important questions:
#1 – when will we be able to officially install SteamOS on general desktop PCs?
#2 – Will SteanOS support Nvidia hardware when the official os is released to the general public?
Those are the main important questions to ask… Window 10 support will end this year and many people want SteamOS alternative to replace it.
Valve is doing the heavy lifting to start moving the world away from Windows and it's embedded spyware.
That Silverstone case in the ad looked neat..
Until I say 799$. Nope, I'll stick with my diy open air on wheels
It makes me so happy to see what has ended up being over a decade of work finally come together to deliver on the promise of Steam Machines, and now they’re handheld!
Please replace Windows with SteamOS on every platform.
Imagine if AMD gave us fluid motion frame gen on steam OS
Owning the OS is where the real money is anyway. Google’s Android on so many different devices wasn’t by accident lol.. Valve knows exactly what they’re doing which is building a superpower house 4 the future.
They’re looking to take Windows out of gaming
I'm ready to switch from windows.
I do actually love how everyone refuses to call Twitter “X” and continues to call it Twitter.
