Holy moley, the animation is janky af. Makes me want to read the book instead. Gibbons 2d art moves better than this.

Just going by the trailer, it looks like it might actually be kinda faithful to the comic. That’s a pretty radical concept 😉

I was really hoping the art style would be a little more gritty but it looks too clean. We already have Zach Snyder's version which is extremely faithful and shot in live action and honestly looks better for its medium than this does for it's. Not sure why this exists.

They REALLY ruined the structure of the first two chapters by removing all the Comedian flashbacks from his funeral and spreading them throughout Rorschach's investigation in chapter 1 instead. Plus it completely spoiled the reveal of Doctor Manhattan because we have already seen him multiple times before Rorschach even meets up with him. And the movie is just full of nonstop little annoyances like that which add up fast.

The animation is TOP TIER – in my opinion the best work DC animators EVER done. Slightly remind me of MARVEL What If visual style, but different. Film was awesome, i can feel these animated episodes could be even better.
